Knightsbridge, London

Commissioned by: Helen Green
This luxury refurbishment in the heart of Knightsbridge, London required the structural reconfiguration of three existing flats to form one apartment. The final living space comprised of: a reception room, master bedroom with an en-suite shower, bath and walk in dressing room, a kitchen with a breakfast area, children’s play area, multiple studies and a library. It also has a nursery with an en-suite bathroom, a nanny's bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a housekeeper's bedroom with a utility and wet room attached.

This project involved work of the following:
Strip out of basement, ground floor and first floor.
Structural alterations including the removal of existing floor structures and structural party walls.
Installation of new steel works, roof coverings and new masonry walls.
Installation of new electrics and low energy lighting throughout together with state of the art AV and security systems.
Ceiling, floor and wall finishes.
Fixtures and fittings.
Set out, manufacture and install all joinery as specified.

Challenges
Due to the building being occupied by other tenants, aswell as the owner regularly staying in the residence (being worked on) for long periods of time, Guildprime had to be overly cautious of the noise and the potential disruption caused by delivery arrivals, transport of materials and loud construction taking place.

Outcome
Despite these challenges, Guildprime successfully completed the refurbishment of this beautiful apartment without any complaints from the neighboring residents or the owner.
