Guildprime's 2022 Reflections
Wow, what a year Guildprime has had. And how quickly has it gone? With 2023 underway, what better way to kickstart the year than by taking a look back on 2022 and highlighting some of the amazing projects and events we have been involved in. It is very easy to get swept up in the chaos of life, but sometimes it's important to simply pause, and reflect. By doing so, we are able to not only appreciate our successes, but also learn how we move forward and make 2023 the best year yet.

Guildprime Specialist Contracts Ltd have been involved in a number of luxury fit out and refurbishment projects throughout the year. Have a read on some of our favourites...

Retail
Having previously completed a full turnkey fit out for the high end retail store Waterworks, located in Central London's fashionable King's Road, it was a honour to be requested to return and deliver a revamp of the store at the beginning of 2022. This involved the creation of new staff toilet and kitchen areas, extensive wall and floor tiling, and innovative millwork that is displayed on all three floors. Guildprime delivered a beautiful result and ensured our client's expectations were not only fulfilled, but exceeded. At the latter end of 2022, Guildprime also secured not just one, but TWO incredible retail projects with the highly renowned retail brand, Abercrombie & Fitch Co. Being a special client of ours, we are proud to be carrying out the fit out of their two new stores located in one of the biggest shopping centres in the UK, Manchester Arndale. We can't wait to bring you along on our journey.

Residential
Prime residential fit outs kept Guildprime very busy this year. We kicked off 2022 with a full high end refurbishment of a Grade II Listed residential property, a stone’s throw from London’s Hyde Park. This project involved intricate designs, bespoke joinery installations and bathroom refurbishments. As this project came to an end, we quickly began another full luxury refurbishment of a three-story town house. This required an entire strip-out, and once completed, every aspect of the house had to be reinstated. It isn't long until we are able to reveal the finished result of this project, keep your eyes peeled! Meanwhile, we also had two other private residential strip out and refurbishments taking place, one in Baker Street and one in Battersea, the latter was competed just in time for Christmas. Think we can safely - we have some very happy house owners thanks to Guildprime!

Commercial and Hospitality Events
At the beginning of the year, Guildprime were awarded a contract by McLaughin and Harvey to design, construct and fit out an existing building to a Category A specification with refurbishment works to the ground floor and basement space. Once successfully completing the WC fit out, we were then requested to fit out Sancroft's atrium, and reception areas. This project proved to be a huge success. In mid-May, we also expanded our services to the hospitality events sector. Guildprime took pleasure in completing the full fit out of the hospitality suite at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. In the space of eight weeks, Guildprime brilliantly transformed our clients' and their designers' visions to life. After delivering one of the most successful hospitality spaces at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Guildprime are now honoured to be the principal contractor for this annual Royal event for at least the next four years.

Events
Guildprime were extremely delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist for the 2022 London Construction Awards in two categories. To be selected for ‘Contractor of the Year’ and ‘Fit-Out Project of the Year’ for our work at the Westview Concourse at Chelsea Football club was an absolute honour and is a testament to the high quality of work and services we provide.

Giving Back
Guildprime take pride in being a business that strives for more than just making profits. By incorporating giving into our everyday business activities and framework, we are able to make a more positive environmental and social impact. In 2022 alone, through our partnership with B1G1, we made over 13,000 impacts around the world. This varied from providing underprivileged areas access to clean water, solar lighting, nutritious meals, to planting trees and giving toiletries, books and toys to children living in deprivation.

We are also proud sponsors of one of our local football teams, AFC Sudbury EJA U14s Yellow and have been for the past 2 seasons. 

Mental Health
In light of the mental health crisis in the Construction industry, we decided to introduce a weekly team game of Badminton. It has been proved that physical activity not only has an incredible impact on your physical state, but it also does wonders for your mental state. Organising something as simple as a team sport is a great way to get the team talking, laughing, and working together. Guildprime are proud to be taking more proactive measures, to help combat step the stigma that is mental health.
