Baccarat at Harrods

Location: Harrods London
Commissioned by: Baccarat

The project consisted of the detailed design development of bespoke items of joinery which incorporated low iron glass, mirror polished stainless steel and ‘’leathered brown granite”. All items were based upon the design intent drawings supplied by Architecture at Large.
Three perimeter wall displays were set into the existing wall structure. Each display consists of wall panelling and draw systems constructed from Macassar ebony veneered boards.
Within each display area there were a number of mirror finished stainless steel shelves with glass inserts, each with their own LED lighting system..
The cabinets were designed to display lead crystal glass in the form of lamp fittings and glass ornaments..
A number of display cubes constructed from leathered brown granite & Macassar ebony were used for the main display area. Lids for the cubes were manufactured from etched mirror or Macassar Ebony. The cubes were constructed for the display of glass ornaments and small lamps..
To other areas of the floor space are a number of mirror finished stainless steel and glass tanks, illuminated by LED lights. The units have a combination of Macassar veneered panels, etched glass and suede coverings; each unit is in a standalone format or in a combined formation with either granite or Macassar display cubes.
